Minute 944 // Repeat After Me TODAY'S MESSAGE IS DEDICATED YOU CAN DEDICATE A DAY "You have just got to keep repeating it." Deborah suggested. "Whenever I have to memorize something I find I have to go over it about a hundred times before I get it." "I must have read it 50 times already, and it doesn't seem to sink in." Sarah said. "Just reading it won't work." Deborah replied, "You must repeat it out loud for it to sink in". Memorizing anything takes a lot of work and a lot of concentration. David haMelech said, “I trust in the Lord; out of great suffering, I spoke” (Tehillim 116:10). Some explain this to mean that a person's faith is ingrained in their soul, only when they speak words of faith on a regular basis. During the day as busy as one gets one should continue to mention words of faith. "This could only take place, if God willed it." "This beautiful tree was created by Hashem." "Hashem is in control." The fast-paced modern high-tech world we live in has many deterrents and obstacles to success in developing true faith in God. Once you have clarified for yourself that you are one of those who does believe in Our Creator, you should start driving the point home to yourself by constant repetition out loud. This technique will not only help you remember, this most important fact of life, but when also drive into your heart so that your belief is solid and unwavering CONSIDER THIS FOR A MINUTE A person can easily fool themselves into thinking that the little knowledge that he has acquired in the yeshiva years is enough to carry him through life. There is no need to go further. This is a tragic mistake. A person must constantly try to grow higher and higher in Torah knowledge and divine service. Rav Avraham Pam , The Pleasant Way.
